AGM of the RCAA, October 3, 2014

I was invited to talk to the assembled officers
of the Royal Canadian Artillery Association at their AGM.
Before the splendid mess dinner, we assembled for drinks.
We then moved to dinner, as the
Shawinigan military band played.

Down from the honour table stretched rows of officers,
colonels and so on.
I was lucky enough at the Honour Table
to sit next to a rare three star general, Stu Beare.
The next morning we assembled again.
Then everyone sat, and after an address by their commander,
they listened to me!
In another coffee break, the officers loaded up with
the military books in The Alford Saga: The Chaplain,
The Gunner, and The Hero.
